How much weight gain during pregnancy by trimester?
I keep getting confused about how much weight is normal to gain. My gynac just says eat well but doesnt give me numbers. Wanted to know roughly trimester wise how much aap log gained?
Hi sweetheart, don't worry too much about the numbers game, focus on healthy eating. Generally, in the first trimester, it's just a little, like 1-2 kg. Then maybe 0.5 kg per week in the second and third. Your doctor will guide you best for what's right for your body.
Oh, I'm literally wondering the same thing! I'm planning soon and seeing so many different numbers. I guess it really depends on your pre-pregnancy weight, right? It's confusing to keep track of it all.
It's not just about weight, but healthy weight. Too much or too little can mean more tests and doctor visits later, which add up in costs. My doc advised around 1-2kg in first tri, then consistent small gain. Eating healthy helps manage it without extra expenses.
Most apps and health trackers will show you a general guideline based on your BMI. Typically, 1-2 kg in the first trimester, and then 0.4-0.5 kg per week in the second and third. But your doctor is the best person to give you specific targets based on your health.
