I am 20 weeks and have gained around a few kilos, but relatives keep commenting I look too big. It is making me conscious. How much weight gain did your doctor say is okay?
My doctor told me roughly 10-12 kg is normal for a woman with normal starting weight, but it depends on ur BMI before pregnancy. She kept checking my weight each visit. Best to let ur gynac decide ur target.
Around 10-12 kg is what most doctors say but it really varies. With my first I gained more, second less. Dont obsess over the number, eat healthy and let ur gynac track it.
I had to watch my weight closely because of gestational diabetes, so my range was a bit different. Please go by what ur own doctor sets for u, there's no one fixed number for everyone.
Mine advised about 11-12 kg for me. I kept it steady with daily walks that my doc approved and home food. Steady gain is better than sudden, that's what helped me.
