Im in my 5th month and have put on some weight already, my MIL keeps commenting that im gaining too fast. Now im a little tense about it. How much weight gain is actually normal for the whole pregnancy?
My doctor said it depends on your starting BMI, but roughly 10-12 kg for a normal weight woman over the whole pregnancy. She tracked it each visit. So dont fixate on one number, your gynac sets your target.
Dont obsess over the scale yaar, it stressed me out unnecessarily. As long as your doctor is happy and you eat well, you are good. Some gain more, some less, totally normal.
With my gestational diabetes they watched my weight gain carefully. Steady gradual gain is what they wanted, not sudden jumps. Balanced meals over crash dieting, always. Let your doctor guide your range.
