How much weight to gain during pregnancy calculator?
Im in 2nd trimester and gaining weight quite fast, MIL keeps commenting on it. Want to know how much is actually healthy for my weight. Is there some simple way to figure it out?
It really depends on your pre-pregnancy BMI, but generally 10-15 kg is considered normal. Don't waste time checking online calculators every day, just eat balanced home-cooked meals and keep moving.
I used to panic looking at weight gain calculators when I gained 4 kgs in the first trimester itself! But my doctor said every body is different and it eventually balanced out. Just stay happy and eat well.
I gained around 12 kgs and had a very smooth normal delivery, so don't stress too much about numbers. Focus on eating nutritious food and staying active throughout your journey.
Weight gain calculation should always be guided by your gynac because undergaining or overgaining can sometimes cause complications. Please ask your doctor what is the healthy range for your specific body type.
Yahan ghar pe toh mummy aur saas hamesha bolte hain ki do logon ke liye khao, but that is not true! Normal weight gain 10-12 kg safe hota hai, bas healthy khao aur zyada ghee-teel mat khao.
Beta, har kisi ka shareer alag hota hai, toh machine pe weight dekh kar darna mat. Bas dhoodh, dahi, phal ache se khao taaki bache ko takat mile. Baaki doctor sab bata denge.
Your weight gain target depends on your starting weight. I am aiming for about 11-12 kgs by just doing mild walking and prenatal yoga daily, but only after my gynac gave me a green light.
