Sorry if this sounds silly but im a bit confused about how the weeks are counted. My LMP and the actual conception date seem different so i dont know how far along i really am. Can someone explain how they calculate it?

My doctor counts pregnancy from the first day of your last period, not from conception. So normally its around 40 weeks total. The dating scan also helps confirm how far along you are.
Actually pregnancy is measured in weeks, full term is about 40 weeks. The early scan will tell you the exact age of your pregnancy, thats the most accurate way.
