Me and my husband are planning to start trying in a couple of months. Everyone talks about what the woman should do but i want him to be healthy and ready too. What all should the husband do to prepare?
For men its mostly lifestyle, eat well, exercise, avoid smoking, alcohol and too much heat (like very hot baths/laptops on lap). A pre conception checkup for both is smart. And emotionally being there for the wife is half the job honestly.
Good question, men matter too! Healthy diet, cut smoking and alcohol, manage stress and weight, and a basic health checkup helps. If conceiving is taking time, a semen analysis can be done. Mainly being a supportive partner counts a lot.
My husband took it seriously, started walking with me and cleaned up his diet. Good sleep and less junk made a difference to his energy too. Both being fit before trying really helps, thats what our doctor suggested.
We are planning too and my husband started eating better and stopped late night drinking. I think reducing stress and being healthy for both partners helps. A doctor visit together cleared a lot of our doubts gently.
