Im in my 5th month and ab pet bhi thoda show hone laga hai. I usually sleep on my back but now it feels uncomfy. Kis side sona theek rehta hai? pls share what worked for u.
My gynac specifically told me that sleeping on the left side is the gold standard because it improves blood circulation to the placenta. She said sleeping on your back after the first trimester can press on a major vein and make u feel dizzy. I even read a few medical articles confirming this, so definitely stick to left-side sleeping.
Honestly, left side sleeping is the absolute best during these months. I used to keep a soft pillow between my knees to support my belly, and it made breastfeeding later much easier because my back didn't hurt as much. Just try to avoid flat-on-the-back sleep as the months go on.
Sleeping on the left side is what everyone recommends, and it actually helps post-delivery too. After my C-section, getting in and out of bed from the side was the only way I could manage without pulling my stitches. Start practicing side-sleeping early, it really helps in recovery later.
Maa always told me to sleep on my left side and keep a small thin pillow under my tummy. When I was at my parents' house, my bhabhi made me this long soft bolster which was such a lifesaver. It really helps with blood flow to the baby, so do try it.
