How soon can i test for pregnancy before missed period?

We are ttc and im just too impatient to wait for the missed period. My period is still like 4 days away but i keep wanting to test. Will it even show anything this early or am i just wasting kits? anyone tested before the date?

My doctor said testing on the day of or after the missed period gives the most accurate result with morning urine. Before that the hCG may be too low to detect. If you really can't wait, a blood test can pick it up a little earlier.

I tested way too early because I couldn't wait and got a negative, then cried for nothing. Turned out I was pregnant, just tested too soon. Please wait till at least the missed period day, save yourself the stress.

Some sensitive kits claim to detect a few days before the missed period, but the result can be faint or unreliable that early. I tested 2 days before and got a very light line, then a clear one after the missed date. My app suggested waiting for accuracy.
