We tried this cycle and now im in that horrible waiting phase, checking calendar every day. I really want to test asap but dont want a wrong result either. How many days after ovulation did u test and get accurate?
I had this same question while trying. The advice I got was to be patient and wait until the period is actually late, around 2 weeks after ovulation, otherwise the test isnt reliable. The waiting is hard but it saves you false results.
I made the mistake of testing like 8 days after ovulation and got a negative, then cried, only for it to be positive a few days later. So lesson learnt, wait till around your missed period for an accurate answer.
Implantation takes about 6-10 days after ovulation, and hCG needs a few more days to be detectable. So testing too early gives false negatives. I waited till my missed period (around 14 days post ovulation) and used morning urine, that gave the clearest result.
Don't rush it, na. Testing before your missed period often shows negative even if you are pregnant, because hormone levels are still low. Best to wait around 14 days after ovulation or just after your period is late, with first morning urine.
