How soon can pregnancy be detected after missed period?

My period is 3 days late and im super eager to test but dont want a false result. Trying to figure out the right time to take a home test after a missed period. When did you get an accurate result?

A home urine test usually shows correctly right around the missed period or a day or two after. My doc said use first morning urine for the clearest result. A blood test can confirm even a touch earlier.
