Just found out im expecting, still cant believe it honestly. Im so curious to know how the little one develops month by month inside. Would love if you mommies share what changes happen when.
Such a lovely thing to wonder about. Slowly slowly baby develops, my mother used to say each month has its own milestone. Eat well, rest, take your iron and calcium as doctor says, and the scans will show you the progress.
My doctor explained it nicely, first trimester the organs and heartbeat form, second trimester baby grows fast and you start feeling movements, third trimester is mainly weight gain and lungs maturing for birth. The scans at each stage show all this. It's honestly amazing to watch on ultrasound.
I loved tracking it week by week on an app, it would say baby is size of a lemon, then a banana, so cute. Early weeks the basic structure forms, then growth picks up a lot in middle months. The growth scans your doctor does confirm baby is on track.
I felt so emotional watching the scans each month, from a tiny flicker of heartbeat to actual hands and feet. The kicks in the middle months made it so real. Every visit my gynac would show how baby was growing and I'd just tear up.
It happens in beautiful stages over the nine months, organs first, then size and movements, then final growth before birth. You dont need to memorise it all, just go for your regular checkups and scans and the doctor tracks everything for you.
