That burning feeling comes up to my throat almost every time i lie down, specially at night. Im 30 weeks and its getting worse as the bump grows. What foods or habits helped you keep it away?
Eat small, eat slow, and prop urself up with extra pillows at night. Avoid eating just before bed. Cut down on the fried and spicy stuff. If it still burns badly, ask gynac for a safe antacid, dont pick one randomly.
Coconut water and lighter meals helped me feel better. My mom said avoid sleeping right after eating and she was right. For the rest, my gynac gave a safe antacid when it got too much, so do check with urs.
When i was working i'd keep small snacks and avoid one heavy lunch, that helped reflux a lot. Sip water through the day not gulp with food. And keep dinner early so it settles before sleep.
Beta cold milk or a little saunf after meals used to settle my stomach. Eat lightly at night and dont lie flat immediately. But if the burning is bad and constant, do tell ur doctor.
Ugh reflux made my nausea ten times worse. What saved me was small frequent meals instead of big ones, and not lying down right after eating. Spicy and oily food i just gave up for a while.
