My mother had bp issues in her pregnancy so im a bit scared it might happen to me too. Im in second trimester, bp normal for now. Just want to do things from before to keep it in control, any tips?
Stress at work was a big trigger for me. I started taking proper breaks, sleeping on time, cutting the namkeen and packaged snacks. Small realistic changes. And never skip the BP check at appointments, thats non negotiable.
With my doctor's okay I did light walking and some gentle breathing/prenatal yoga and it helped me stay calm and kept BP steady. Stress really pushes it up, so relaxation matters. But please get the green signal from your gynac before any exercise.
Eat less salty food, rest enough, keep yourself relaxed and dont skip any appointment, dear. High BP can be managed well when caught early. Just stay regular with your doctor and report anything that feels off.
My doctor told me cut down on salt and processed/packaged food, stay active gently if allowed, manage stress and keep weight gain in check. She monitored my BP every visit. She also said symptoms like sudden swelling or severe headache need urgent attention. Regular monitoring is the real key.
I had BP issues in pregnancy so I'll say this gently, dont take it lightly. Less salt, rest well, manage stress, but most important keep going for your check ups so they catch it early. If you ever get bad headache, swelling or blurry vision, call your gynac immediately, dont wait.
