Im in my second trimester and the appetite has gone up so much, plus everyone at home keeps feeding me saying eat for two. A little scared of putting on too much weight. How did u all manage to eat healthy without overdoing it?
Weight gain is supposed to happen, so it's about healthy gain not zero gain. My gynac gave me a target range to stay within. Eat well, move a little, and let your doctor track the numbers.
I kept it in check with daily walks and some prenatal yoga, only after my doctor okayed it. I didnt diet, just ate clean balanced meals and avoided junk and fried stuff. Movement made a big difference for me honestly.
Because I had GD I was very mindful, less sweets and refined carbs, more protein and veggies. My dietician planned it so I gained healthy, not extra. Pls dont try to lose weight in pregnancy though, just gain at a steady safe rate.
Dont fall for the eating for two thing, that's where extra kilos sneak in. Normal portions, home food, cut the deep fried namkeen and sugary drinks. A bit of walking and you'll be fine.
