Just got my positive test and im so confused yaar, do they count from the period date or from when conceiving happened? My MIL keeps asking kitne din ho gaye and i honestly dont know how to even tell. Can someone explain how the month is counted?
Honestly, i was so sick in my first month that I couldn't even think straight! You should use an online LMP calculator, it starts from day 1 of your last period. Don't worry if it sounds like you are pregnant before you actually conceived, that's just how docs calculate it.
Omg calculation was a nightmare for my sleepy brain. Basically u have to count from your last period's first day, not the day you missed it. So when u get a positive test, u are already around 4-5 weeks pregnant, science is weird na!
Merko toh bada confusion tha isme, then my saas told me to count from the first day of my last period [1.2.1]. Initially I thought pregnancy baby banne se start hoti h but ghar wale and doctor counts from LMP only. It's actually around 4 weeks from last period date.
It's a very common doubt dear. Pregnancy is always counted from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP). So even if fertilization happened later, your first month starts from that LMP date itself.
I remember being so confused about this back when I was pregnant! My baby is a toddler now but I still remember googling this daily. Just take your last period's starting date as day 1 and count from there, it's that simple, enjoy these days.
I totally understand how confusing these early days can be, sweetie. It feels so special when you find out! Just calculate from the very first day of your last period, that is technically week 1. Enjoy this beautiful phase, it goes by so fast.
