Everyone keeps asking how many weeks i am and honestly i get confused between weeks and months. The gynac counts it differently than what i thought. How do u all calculate the baby's age exactly?
I just put my last period date into a pregnancy app and it tracked the weeks automatically, super handy. But honestly the dating scan adjusts it properly, so trust that over the app. Apps are nice for the weekly baby updates though.
Doctors count from the first day of your last period, not from conception, so it's a bit confusing at first. My gynac confirmed the exact dating with the first scan since that's more accurate. The scan basically tells you how many weeks you are.
I was so confused too because they count from LMP not from when you actually conceived. So the weeks always feel ahead of what you expect. The scan cleared it up for me.
