My scan report has estimated baby weight written but I dont understand how accurate it is. Doctor said okay for now, still I keep comparing with charts online. How much did your scan weight vary later?
My last scan gave a weight estimate and I kept worrying if its enough. The radiologist explained its measured during the scan and is approximate. Did others also feel anxious comparing these numbers? My gynac said as long as growth is steady its fine.
I was wondering the same since my report mentioned an estimated weight. So its all from the ultrasound measurements right? My doctor said it can vary a little from actual, which surprised me.
Its done by the scan, not by any home method. The growth scan in later months gives an estimated weight. Both my babies were measured this way. Just keep your scans on time and let the doctor tell you if growth is on track.
My gynac told me baby weight is estimated through the ultrasound, the machine measures head, tummy and thigh bone and calculates it. Its not something we can do at home accurately. She said its an estimate, can be off by a bit, so dont stress over the exact number.
