My last period dates are a bit confusing for me and now im trying to figure out when I actually conceived. The doctor gave me a due date but I want to understand how its calculated. anyone knows the simple way?
I used an app, you just put your last period date and cycle length and it estimates ovulation/conception. But honestly the dating scan is the most accurate, that's what my doc went by in the end.
Conception usually happens around ovulation, which is about 2 weeks after the first day of your last period (for a 28 day cycle). Doctors actually count pregnancy from last period date, not conception. My gynac calculated everything from my LMP and the scan.
Easiest is the early ultrasound, it tells the weeks pretty accurately. Roughly conception is around your ovulation, mid cycle. Dont stress too much on exact date, the scan sorts it out.
I was also trying to figure mine out. My doc said conception is approx 2 weeks after period starts, but they count from period date itself. Did your scan match your own calculation? Mine was off by a few days.
