How to calculate expected date of delivery in pregnancy?
My scan report and app are showing slightly different dates, so I am confused about my due date. My last period date is clear but cycle length was a bit irregular. How did your gynac calculate EDD?
My LMP date and my scan date gave slightly different EDDs and I got confused, anyone else faced this? My gynac said go with the scan one. Felt better once she explained it's all approximate anyway.
I just entered my last period date in a pregnancy app and it gave the EDD instantly, plus week by week updates which I loved. The dating scan later fine tuned it a little.
From your last period date roughly add nine months and a week. But baby comes when baby is ready na, due date is just an estimate. Trust the scan and your doctor's count.
Simple rule, take the first day of your last period, add 9 months and 7 days. That gives roughly your due date. But the scan date is more accurate, doctor will confirm with that.
It's counted as 40 weeks from your last menstrual period. My doctor said the LMP method works if cycles are regular, otherwise the early ultrasound gives the most reliable due date. Mine shifted by 4 days after the scan.
