We are trying since 3 months and im realising i dont properly know my fertile days. My cycle is around 30 days. how do you all figure out the ovulation day, any app or method that worked for u?
Just a gentle note, the day-14 math only works if your cycles are regular. With PCOS like mine it's unpredictable, so apps weren't accurate for me. I'd suggest ovulation kits or talking to ur gynac if your periods aren't on time.
My doctor explained the fertile window is about 5 days before ovulation plus the ovulation day itself. Signs like clear stretchy discharge and a slight temperature rise can help spot it. She recommended ovulation strips for accuracy.
We started trying recently and I was confused about this too. From what I learnt, count back 14 days from your expected period for the regular cycles. The ovulation kits helped me feel more sure. All the best to you.
If your cycle is regular, ovulation is roughly 14 days before your next period. So in a 28 day cycle it's around day 14. The few days before and on that day are your best chance. Tracking apps make this easy.
I used a period tracker app and it predicted my fertile window for me, super helpful. Even better are the ovulation strips you pee on, they show the surge a day or two before. That combo worked for us.
