Everyone at home asks me which month i'm running and i get so confused, doc counts in weeks but family counts in months. I'm at 14 weeks now. How do you all convert it properly the indian way?
Doctors count from the first day of your last period, and pregnancy is about 40 weeks or roughly 9 months. Every 4 weeks is about a month. Your gynac confirms the exact dates with the first scan, so go by that.
I just put my last period date into a pregnancy app and it showed my weeks and months automatically. Super handy and it matched my doctor's dates. Try any tracker app, makes it really easy.
My doctor explained it as 40 weeks total counted from the last period date, divided into three trimesters. The scan adjusts the date if your cycle was irregular. So its weeks based, and they convert it to months for us.
