How to calculate pregnancy weeks for irregular periods?
My cycles have always been all over the place, sometimes 35 days sometimes 50. Now that im pregnant i genuinely have no clue how far along i am and the LMP method confuses me. Anyone with irregular periods, how did you figure out ur weeks?
With my irregular cycles from PCOS, the LMP method was useless for me honestly. My doctor relied on the early dating scan to fix my weeks correctly. If your periods are irregular, the scan is really the most reliable way.
My app kept giving me wrong dates because of irregular cycles, so I stopped trusting it. The dating scan corrected everything. Let the scan and your gynac decide the real weeks, not the app.
My doctor said when periods are irregular they dont go just by last period date, the first trimester ultrasound gives the accurate dating. The baby measurements like CRL fix the weeks. So an early scan sorts out the confusion.
