How to calculate pregnancy weeks from ovulation date?
I was tracking my ovulation so I know the exact date, but now im confused how that converts to pregnancy weeks. The doc counts differently na? Someone pls explain in simple words.
Honestly, calculating all this math makes me hungry, I just focus on my golgappa cravings instead! But yes, ovulation date is roughly week 2 of pregnancy, so add two weeks to find your current week.
Forget ovulation date, no gynac uses that because it's hard to be 100% sure. Just count from the first day of your last period, that's the standard medical way.
I totally understand how exciting it is to count every single day of this beautiful journey! Usually, ovulation date plus two weeks is your gestational age, enjoy this lovely phase.
Practically, doctors count from your Last Menstrual Period (LMP) rather than ovulation. But if you are sure of the ovulation date, just add 14 days to it to find your LMP equivalent, and calculate weeks from there.
