Everyone keeps asking how many months im in and i get so confused converting weeks to months. The doctor says weeks but family wants months. How do u all calculate it properly?
Doctors count in weeks from your last period date, not months, which confused me first. Roughly 4 weeks is a month, so 9 months is about 40 weeks. My gynac told me my due date from my LMP and I just tracked weeks after that.
Easiest way, put your last period date into any pregnancy app and it shows your week, month and due date automatically. I never bothered calculating manually. The week count is what doctors actually use though.
I keep getting confused between weeks and months, anyone else? My doctor said go from the first day of your last period. They count weeks mostly, so I just ask her which month I am in at each visit.
Go from your last menstrual period, thats the standard. Honestly dont stress about exact months, the due date your doctor gives from the dating scan is the one that matters. Just follow the week count she tells you.
