Im a back sleeper my whole life and now in my third trimester its so hard to switch. I keep waking up flat on my back and panicking. How did u all train urself to sleep differently?
Get a pregnancy pillow honestly, total game changer. My app suggested side sleeping with knees a bit bent. If u wake up on ur back dont panic, just turn back to the side. Body adjusts slowly.
I was a back and tummy sleeper so this was hard for me too. What helped was putting pillows so I physically couldnt roll over. Doc said dont stress if u shift in sleep, just resettle on the side. Did others struggle with this also?
Slowly shift to sleeping on ur side, left is best, especially after the first trimester. A pillow between the knees and one behind ur back stops u rolling onto ur back. Took me a few nights to get used to it but worked both times.
U dont need an expensive pregnancy pillow honestly, I just used 2 regular pillows, one between knees one behind back. Did the same job. Side position, and dont worry too much if u move at night.
