At my hospital they clearly told me about the dual marker and NIPT test option in first trimester. Just ask the doctor or front desk what tests are in your plan. Better to ask openly than guess.
I understand the worry, i had all these tests done too. The screening only gives a risk number, it is not a final answer, so try not to panic before time. Your doctor will guide each step gently.
Just a heads up, the NIPT test is a bit costly so ask the price first. The basic double marker is more affordable and usually covered in most packages. Plan it with your gynac in advance.
My doctor explained there is a double marker blood test plus NT scan done around 11 to 13 weeks, and later a quadruple test. If risk shows high they suggest more tests. Best to discuss the screening schedule with your gynac early.
