My MIL keeps saying you can tell pregnancy by checking the nerves/pulse on hand. I dont really get how that works na. Is there any truth to this desi method or is it just old talk? Just curious.
There isnt really a way to check nerves for pregnancy reliably, thats more of a myth. Best is a home test 3-4 days after missed period, and if positive, see your gynac to confirm. Doctor route is the safest.
Checking pulse or nerves to know pregnancy is just an old belief, it cant confirm anything. A simple pregnancy strip from the pharmacy or a beta hCG blood test will tell you properly. Dont waste time on the nerve method.
I think you mean the pulse type check that older ladies talk about? Honestly thats not reliable at all. Just do a home urine test after a missed period or a blood test, thats the real way.
In our time elders would say they can feel it from the pulse, but beta that is not something to depend on. The safe and sure way today is a test kit or doctor. Please go for that only.
