Wait till you miss your period, then a home test gives a good result, do it with morning urine for accuracy. If you can't wait, a blood hCG test at a lab detects it a bit earlier. My tracker reminded me of the right day to test.
Easiest is a home urine test once your period is late even by a few days. For very early, a blood test (beta hCG) at a lab can pick it up earlier. Both my times the home kit did the job.
