Got my first scan done yesterday and the report has so many short forms and numbers, i dont understand half of it. CRL, GA and all that. My appointment with doc is only next week na so till then im just staring at this paper. Can someone help me understand what to look at?
I used to stare at my report and panic over every word na. Then I realised the doctor reads it for you anyway. Did anyone else also get scared seeing all those numbers and short forms?
Don't overthink the report. The sonographer or your gynac will tell you the important parts, growth and baby's position basically. If the report says everything is normal, trust it and relax.
The main things people look at are weeks, due date and heartbeat. There are apps that explain the abbreviations too. But for anything that worries you, screenshot it and ask your gynac directly, thats what I did.
Honestly the report has terms like GA (gestational age), EDD (your due date), fetal heart rate and so on. My doc walked me through each line. I'd say dont try to decode it fully alone, the gynac explains it in 5 mins during your visit.
