Theres a lot more discharge these days and im not sure how to keep that area clean properly without overdoing it. Im in my second trimester. What do you all do for hygiene down there during pregnancy? pls share, bit shy to ask anyone in person.
Haan bilkul simple rakho na, sirf water se bahar se clean karo. Andar kuch dalne ki zarurat nahi, wo khud clean hota hai. Cotton ki panty pehno aur dry rakho, bas.
I only used water for the outside and avoided all fancy intimate washes during pregnancy. Cotton underwear and keeping it dry helped me avoid infections. But if you ever get itching, smell or unusual discharge, dont treat at home, tell your gynac.
Keep it simple, just plain water on the outside while bathing is enough. Dont use soaps, washes or anything inside, that area cleans itself. Pat dry well and wear cotton undies, thats really all.
My doctor specifically said no douching and no soap inside, only gentle water externally. She said the vagina is self cleaning and harsh products can disturb the balance and cause infection. Cotton, dryness and water, thats the routine she gave me.
