In our culture, there are often beliefs and practices related to having a baby boy. Are there any traditional Hindu customs or ideas people follow when trying to conceive a baby boy?
Having gone through a very difficult pregnancy with complications, let me tell you that only a healthy baby is what we should pray for. Scientifically and legally in India, there is no way to choose the baby's gender, and doing so is illegal. Please consult a good doctor to make sure your body is ready and healthy for conception.
Arre, don't stress too much about gender, yaara! Honestly, in our culture, both baby boy and girl are a form of blessings from God. Just focus on your health, do some prayers like Santan Gopal path if you want, and leave the rest to Bhagwan. A healthy baby is all that matters!
Honestly, boy or girl doesn't matter, but the hospital bills certainly do! From tests, supplements, to delivery, it is so expensive nowadays. Better to save up and plan your budget properly for a healthy pregnancy rather than worrying about gender.
I can only share what we did when we were trying. We didn't focus on boy or girl because honestly, both are equal for us, but my MIL just made us do basic pooja for a healthy child. I just kept track of my ovulation and prayed for a healthy pregnancy, and that's it.
Haha, if there was a magic Hindu trick for this, every house would have a manual! Don't worry about all these old myths, just enjoy this time with your husband. Whichever baby comes, boy or girl, they are going to make you lose your sleep anyway!
