I have hypothyroid since 3 years and now we are trying for a baby. Thoda tension hai because i keep reading it makes conceiving harder. Would love to hear from anyone who conceived with thyroid, what worked for you?
Im also planning with thyroid so reading this thread carefully. My doctor first wanted my levels checked n fixed before we even start trying. I think starting with that test is the safest first step for us na.
I conceived with hypothyroid, the main thing is getting your TSH in the right range BEFORE trying. My doctor adjusted my dose and checked levels every few weeks. Once it was controlled it happened naturally. Pls dont skip the thyroid medicine.
I have pcos plus thyroid, so I get the worry. What worked for me was being regular with the endocrinologist n keeping levels stable. Everyones case is different though, so a good gynac who knows ur reports is really important.
Thyroid is super common and very manageable for pregnancy. Honestly the best move is to see an endocrinologist or gynac, get TSH in target, stay consistent with meds. No home trick replaces getting those levels right.
My gynac said thyroid that is well managed usually doesnt block conceiving. They like TSH below a certain level when planning. She also added folic acid n a healthy weight help. So step one is really a doctor visit n a thyroid test.
Dont worry beta, so many women with thyroid have healthy babies. Just take ur tablet daily without missing, do the blood tests on time, n let the doctor guide the dose. You can do this.
