I turned 36 this year and we are finally trying for our first. Everyone around keeps reminding me about my age which honestly adds to the pressure. Would love to hear from women who conceived after 35, what worked for you?
Age plus any hormonal thing can make it take longer, I get it. I wouldnt self diagnose, a good gynac can guide you on cycle tracking and tests. It took me a bit longer but it did happen, dont lose hope.
I had my second at 36. Honestly tracking ovulation made the biggest difference, plus staying healthy, sleep and managing weight. Dont stress too much, stress itself doesnt help conception.
I conceived at 37 and I know how anxious this age makes you feel. First step we did was a check up for both me and husband, then tracked ovulation properly. Be gentle with yourself, it happens, just give it time and good medical guidance.
We are also trying and I am 34, so I keep reading about this. From what I gather, starting a check up early and not delaying medical help is what most say. Sending you good wishes, hope it happens soon.
Many women conceive happily after 35, dont let the number scare you. Eat well, sleep, track your cycle, and see a fertility-aware gynac early just to be on the safe side. You're doing the right thing by asking.
My doctor said after 35 its good to get a baseline check early, AMH, thyroid and a few tests, and start folic acid before trying. Tracking the fertile window helps a lot. If nothing after 6 months she suggested coming back, since at this age you dont wait a full year.
