My MIL keeps saying she can tell by checking the pulse near the wrist, she did it for my sister also. Is there really anything to this old method? i mean i'll do a proper test but just curious if anyone has heard of it.
Honestly pulse rate cant confirm pregnancy. Heart rate does go up a bit in pregnancy but that happens for fever, stress, anaemia, so many things. A urine test or blood beta hCG is the real way to know.
There is no scientific way to confirm pregnancy from pulse. If your period is late, do a home test, and if positive book a gynac to confirm with blood test or scan. Thats the safe route.
Those pulse tricks are just old talk yaar. The only reliable confirm is a home pregnancy test on first morning urine, or a blood test at the lab. Pulse alone wont tell you anything.
Beta, the old ladies in our family used to claim they could tell by feeling the pulse, but I wouldnt rely on it. Just do a proper test, its cheap and gives a clear answer.
