Bought some alsi seeds for the omega thing everyone talks about. But not sure how to eat them safely now that im pregnant, raw or roasted or what. Anyone been taking them?
I have heard they are very good, but during pregnancy, maybe it's safer to have them in very small quantities. You can roast and grind them, then add a tiny pinch to your curd.
Oh, please be careful with flax seeds because they can generate body heat! I was so anxious about this that I avoided them completely, but some say a tiny amount in smoothies is fine. Have you asked your doctor?
I wanted to add flax seeds to my oats breakfast but was unsure of the quantity. How much are you planning to take daily? Let me know if your doc approved it!
I used to grind a small batch of flax seeds and store it. Just adding half a teaspoon to your morning wheat chapati dough or daily dal is the easiest way to consume it.
Since I have PCOS, I'm always careful with seeds due to hormone levels. My doctor told me to take only a tiny spoonful of ground flax seeds occasionally. Better to be cautious.
