How to control alkaline phosphatase during pregnancy?
My recent blood test results show that my alkaline phosphatase levels are a bit high. My doctor mentioned it, but I'm wondering if there are any lifestyle changes or home remedies I can try to help control it during my pregnancy.
Haan, reports dekh kar darr toh lagta hai, but pregnancy me alkaline phosphatase badhna normal hai, na. Placenta isko banata hai toh level high aata hi hai. Doctor se check karwa lo, extra tension mat liya karo.
Arre, don't play doctor on Google and scare yourself! High ALP is super common because the placenta produces it to support the baby's growth. Unless u have crazy itching, just chill and let your gynac handle the reports!
I remember being so exhausted with morning sickness and then seeing random blood test reports going high, it's so stressful! Honestly, most of the time it is just the placenta doing its job. Drink plenty of water, eat simple food, and ask your doctor to explain the report so you can sleep peacefully.
It is quite normal for these enzyme levels to go up during pregnancy. Please don't worry too much. Just keep your regular checkups with your doctor, they will guide you if any medicine is needed.
Listen, you cannot 'control' it on your own with home remedies. It rises naturally during pregnancy because of the placenta. Just show the report to your doctor and if there are no other symptoms like severe body itching, there's absolutely nothing to worry about.
I see this question a lot here! Mild to moderate elevation in ALP is totally expected in the second and third trimesters. Just make sure you don't have any severe itching on your hands and feet. Show it to your gynac in your next visit, they will let you know if any liver function tests are needed.
I also had high ALP in my third trimester and got so worried. My gynac explained it's completely normal as the baby's bones are growing. I went on to have a healthy normal delivery, so stay positive and trust your doctor.
