My BP readings are fluctuating and I am trying to stay calm until my next checkup. Doctor has asked me to monitor at home, but every number makes me anxious. Anyone managing BP during pregnancy, how do you cope mentally?
Try to stay calm and rested, stress really pushes BP up. I kept my mind peaceful with little prayer time and early nights, it helped me feel settled. But do keep your doctor checking it regularly, faith and follow up both together.
I had high BP in my pregnancy so I really feel for you. The most important thing is regular monitoring and not missing checkups, BP can rise quietly. My gynac watched it closely and that mattered a lot. Please dont manage this alone, keep her in the loop always.
Watch your salt, sleep enough and keep stress in check, these helped me. But BP in pregnancy is serious, dont treat it casually. If you get a bad headache, swelling or blurry vision, dont wait, go straight to your doctor.
Long work hours spiked mine, so I started taking proper breaks and a small walk if my doctor allowed. Less outside salty food too. Honestly book regular BP checks and dont skip them even on busy days, thats what keeps it in control.
My doctor told me to cut down salt and pickles, rest well, stay hydrated and keep stress low. She also asked me to track BP at home and report any headache or vision changes at once. Lifestyle helps but she stressed follow ups are non negotiable with BP.
