My bp came slightly high in last checkup and the doc has asked me to monitor it. im a bit worried tbh, this is my 6th month. apart from medicines what lifestyle or food things actually help keep it in control? sharing welcome.
I dealt with high BP and the most important thing was never skipping check ups and taking exactly what my gynac prescribed. Reduce salt, rest properly and avoid stress. If you get sudden headache or swelling, please call the doctor immediately, dont wait it out.
My doctor told me consistent monitoring is key, plus low salt, gentle activity and good sleep. She said dont stop or start any BP medicine on your own during pregnancy. Regular visits help them catch any rise early.
Whenever theres a number to control in pregnancy, regular follow up is everything, I learnt that with my thyroid. For BP keep your appointments, log your readings if you have a machine and share with your gynac. Steady monitoring beats any home shortcut.
