How to control frequent urination during pregnancy?
I'm in my third trimester, and the frequent urge to pee is becoming really disruptive, especially at night. Is there anything I can do to control this frequent urination during pregnancy? It's getting a bit much.
Oh god, is this really common? I am planning to conceive and already pee a lot, so I'm kinda scared how I will handle this later. Do you have to stop drinking water at night?
I remember running to the washroom every 10 minutes, it was so annoying! But trust me, it goes away the moment the baby is out. It is just the baby pressing on your bladder, completely normal.
It's very common, especially in the last few months. After my C-section, it took some time to get back to normal too. Just don't stop drinking water during the day, but you can reduce it slightly before sleeping.
This is a natural part of pregnancy due to hormonal changes and pressure on the bladder. However, if you feel any burning sensation or pain while peeing, immediately consult your doctor to check for UTI.
Honestly, you can't control it! I felt like I lived in my bathroom during my third trimester. Just make sure u know where all the public toilets are when u go out, haha.
I felt so exhausted with the constant washroom trips, especially at night because my sleep got totally ruined. I started drinking more water during the morning and afternoon, and very little after 8 PM, which gave me some relief.
My pregnancy tracker app recommended doing Kegel exercises to help strengthen the pelvic muscles. Also, try leaning forward slightly when you pee to empty your bladder completely. It really helped reduce the frequency for me.
