My recent reports showed my thyroid is on the higher side and im a bit tensed about how it affects the baby. Im in my first trimester. Apart from what doc said, did anyone manage it well with diet or routine?
My doctor explained that uncontrolled thyroid can affect the baby so they keep a close watch with blood tests every few weeks. She said take tablet on empty stomach and gap it from calcium and iron. But your dose is personal, only your doc decides.
I had thyroid through my pregnancy and the main thing is regular testing and taking your medicine exactly as prescribed. My doc adjusted the dose few times. Please dont stop or change it on your own, follow up is everything.
Thyroid needs proper monitoring in pregnancy, I learned that the careful way. Get your levels checked on time and stay in touch with your gynac and physician. This is not something to manage with home tips alone.
