Since yesterday im having loose motions and feeling so weak and drained. Scared to take anything on my own at this stage. How did you all handle it, anything safe that helped you settle the tummy?
First thing, keep yourself hydrated, lots of water and ORS so you dont get weak. Eat light, like khichdi, curd rice, banana, and avoid oily and spicy for a day or two. But dont take any anti diarrhea medicine on your own, ask the doctor.
Beta a katori of fresh curd with rice settles the stomach nicely, my mother always gave this. Sip ORS or nimbu shikanji to stay strong. If it doesnt stop soon or you feel very weak, do show the doctor.
Keep ORS packets at home, they are a lifesaver. Stick to bland food, curd, banana, toast and take it easy for the day. If you cant keep fluids down or it continues, dont push through, just call your gynac.
Mild loose motion you can manage with ORS and light food. But if it's frequent, with fever, cramps, or going on more than a day, please call your gynac quickly, dehydration is the real worry in pregnancy. Dont wait too long.
