My mood swings are getting quite intense during pregnancy. One moment I'm happy, the next I'm crying for no reason. How can I control these mood swings effectively?
My mother-in-law suggested drinking warm milk, which was very comforting. But also trust your doctor's advice and keep your mind calm with pleasant music or reading.
Just take a deep breath and go for a 10-minute walk outside. Watching your favorite light comedy show or listening to music also helps a lot to distract your mind.
Make sure you sleep well and don't skip meals, because hunger makes mood swings much worse. Tell your family directly when you need help or just some quiet time.
Accept that your hormones are going crazy and stop feeling guilty about it. Talk to your partner clearly so they know when to give you some space and support.
It is absolutely normal to cry one minute and laugh the next. Try doing some simple deep breathing exercises when you feel overwhelmed, it really helps.
This phase will pass, trust me. I used to cry over the smallest things back then, but now I laugh thinking about how wild those mood swings actually were!
