How to control nausea and vomiting during pregnancy?
The morning sickness has been really intense, and I'm struggling with constant nausea and vomiting. Can anyone share some effective tips on how to control it?
My doctor explained that an empty stomach actually worsens nausea. So, eating dry toast or a biscuit before getting out of bed, and having small meals every 2 hours keeps the stomach acid in check.
Even though I love food, morning sickness made me hate everything! I found that eating chilled fruit like apples or watermelon really helped soothe my stomach and kept me hydrated.
Don't try to suffer through it. Ask your doctor for safe anti-nausea pills, they work wonders. Also, stay hydrated with coconut water or lemonade throughout the day.
I just delivered 2 months ago and ginger tea was my lifesaver for morning sickness! Also, keeping some dry glucose biscuits on my bedside table to eat right after waking up helped so much.
Sucking on sour candies or lemon slices really helped me turn my mood around! Keep sipping water slowly and eat small, frequent meals instead of heavy ones!
Please be very careful and don't ignore severe vomiting. I had dehydration due to hyperemesis and had to be hospitalized. It's always best to let your gynac handle this.
Please talk to your gynac before trying too many remedies. If the vomiting is heavy and you can't keep even water down, you might need doctor-prescribed meds or IV fluids.
Actually yaar, ginger and lemon water worked like magic for me. Also, avoid spicy and oily food because it triggers the acidity which makes you throw up even more.
I'm in my second trimester now and still get nauseous in the mornings, it's so exhausting. I usually suck on lemon drops, but does anyone else feel like it just doesn't go away completely?
Sip on fennel (saunf) water or ginger tea, it really calms the stomach. But honestly, if you are vomiting constantly and feeling dizzy, please check with your doctor immediately.
