im crying one minute and snapping at everyone the next, poor husband doesnt know what hit him. 22 weeks and the mood swings are so intense. how do u all manage these emotions?
First of all, what u r feeling is so normal, the hormones make u cry one minute and laugh the next. U cant really control them, theyre doing their job for the baby. What helped me was resting, talking to my husband about my mood swings, and small walks. Be kind to urself yaar.
You cant fully control hormones, theyre nature's way. But keeping the mind calm helps so much. I did a little prayer and deep breathing every morning and it settled me. Stay positive, rest well and let ur body do its thing.
When the hormones were peaking I felt awful and moody, plus the nausea on top. What worked for me was small meals, enough sleep and not being hard on myself. You cant switch them off, just ride it out, it does get better after first trimester.
Hormones cant be controlled but the mood swings get a bit easier with movement. My doc allowed me light walks and gentle prenatal yoga and honestly it lifted my mood a lot. Ask ur gynac first before any exercise though, then it really helps balance the emotions.
I obsessed over my mood swings thinking something was wrong with me. Turns out it was just hormones doing their thing, totally normal. If u ever feel really low or sad for many days though, do tell ur doctor, dont keep it inside. Otherwise just rest and let it pass.
