How to control thyroid during pregnancy naturally?
Im hypothyroid and now 14 weeks, my doc has me on medication already. But i was wondering if theres anything natural like diet or lifestyle i can add alongside to keep my levels steady. Anyone with thyroid managed it well in pregnancy?
My gynac and physician explained that thyroid levels are checked regularly during pregnancy and the dose is adjusted as needed. They told me a balanced diet with iodine from normal food, enough sleep and managing stress all help generally. But the meds and testing are non negotiable, so combine both.
I had thyroid through my pregnancy and honestly the most important thing was taking my medicine exactly as prescribed and doing regular blood tests. Natural stuff like good diet and rest supports you but it cannot replace the medication. Please dont stop or skip meds, thyroid levels really matter for the baby. Keep up your follow ups.
I had this too. Family gave me lots of food tips and a calm lifestyle does help, but my doctor was clear that medicine and regular testing come first. So I did both, ate well, rested, and never missed my tablet or test. Trust your doctor on the dose.
I just got diagnosed with thyroid this pregnancy and got really anxious. Doctor put me on medication and said it gets adjusted with each test. Did anyone else manage it okay with regular checkups? It scared me at first but knowing its controllable helped.
Be very careful with the word natural here. Thyroid in pregnancy needs proper monitoring and usually medication, you cannot manage it with home remedies alone. Eat balanced, rest well, but always follow your doctor and keep testing your levels. It is too important to leave to chance.
