Im in my 5th month and the weight is going up faster than i expected. dont want to overdo it but also dont want to harm the baby by eating less. how did u all manage to keep it in a healthy range?
I focused on home cooked meals, cut back on junk and kept moving with short walks. No crazy dieting, that is not safe in pregnancy. Small consistent habits did the trick for me without much effort.
Daily walks that my doctor approved plus balanced home food kept my weight in a healthy range. I avoided too much fried and sugary stuff but never starved. Steady gain is normal, the goal is healthy not zero gain.
Because of gestational diabetes I really had to watch portions and sugar, and it helped my weight too. A dietician through my gynac made a simple plan. Please dont diet on your own, get guidance especially if sugar is a factor.
