I just got my positive test and everyone keeps asking how many weeks but i genuinely dont know how to calculate it. Do i count from my last period or from conception? feeling silly but i really want to understand it properly.
Easiest way is to put ur last period date into a pregnancy app and it counts the weeks and days for u. I checked mine daily. Just verify it with ur scan since the app is an estimate.
This confused me so much at first, counting from last period felt weird. So technically I was 2 weeks ahead of the actual conceive date na? Glad I am not the only one who found this odd.
My doctor said count from the first day of ur last period, not from when u conceived. So if it has been 6 weeks since that date, u r 6 weeks pregnant. The dating scan then confirms the exact weeks.
