My doctor calculated my months starting from the first day of my last period (LMP). Personally, I found it easier to just track the weeks instead of months, as doctors go by weeks.
I am in my 2nd trimester and I still get confused sometimes! The doctor counts from the last period date, so I am technically further along than I thought. Does anyone else find the weeks-to-months conversion super confusing?
Doctors count pregnancy weeks starting from your last period's start date. If you're ever confused about your progress or feel any severe cramping, always ask your gynac to explain it during your scan.
Don't break your head trying to calculate months manually, it gets confusing because months have different days. Just download a good pregnancy app, input your LMP date, and it does the calculation for you instantly.
Just count from the first day of your last period. A full pregnancy is 40 weeks, which is about 9 calendar months plus 7 days. Most online calculators use your LMP to find the due date instantly.
