How to count pregnancy months?

Everyone keeps asking me kitne months chal rahe hai and i get so confused matlab is it counted from last period or from conception? im in my 2nd trimester somewhere. someone pls explain simply.

Oh chill, don't stress too much about the month math! Basically, every 4 weeks is not exactly a month because calendar months have 30 or 31 days. Just remember that 40 weeks is the full 9 months, and enjoy the ride!

It's easiest to count from the first day of your last period. Most doctors will only talk in weeks anyway, so don't worry about months.

At home, my mother-in-law used to count by the calendar dates, but my doctor always went by the weeks from the last period. It can be confusing, but trusting the doctor's weekly calculation is much safer for scans. Just follow the clinical calendar, ma.

Listen, don't let anyone confuse you with their calculations. Your doctor will count from your LMP, which makes it 40 weeks in total. Just stick to what your gynecologist writes on your card, baccha.
