Everyone keeps asking how far along i am and honestly i get confused whether to count from my last period or from conception. My cycles arent very regular either. How do u all calculate it correctly?
I got so confused with this too in the beginning. The app said one date, my doc said another based on scan. Did anyone else have a few days difference? They told me scan dating is the accurate one.
Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period, not from conception, sounds weird but thats how doctors do it. So you are already 2 weeks pregnant by the time you actually conceive. Your gynac will confirm exact dates at the first scan.
Dont stress over the exact day too much. Note your last period start date, tell your gynac, and the early scan sorts out the real timeline. You are doing fine.
I just put my last period first date into a tracker app and it calculated everything, weeks, due date, all. Super easy honestly. But the dating scan slightly adjusted mine, so trust that over the app.
